UVA Wise is pleased to announce that Chief Deputy Attorney General of Virginia Charles H. “Chuck” Slemp III will serve as the College’s keynote speaker at its Commencement Ceremony on May 11, 2024.

The Crockett Award, established in 1995 by then-Clinch Valley College, is named after Samuel R. Crockett Jr. who, in 1954, as the UVA extension representative in Southwest Virginia, was instrumental in creating a division of the University in Wise.

UVA Wise Honors the Opening of its $16.6 million state-of-the art Nursing Education Facility

The former College library is now a 28,530 square-foot, state-of-the-art nursing education facility. Nursing students began taking classes in the new building in mid-March.
